A group of Canadian researchers created a “robot” that had the ability to write about its travels. HITCHBOT had no way of getting from one place to another without the help of curious and friendly humans. The experiment worked, and passersby’s would pick up HITCHBOT (like a hitchhiker) and move it from place to place. It all worked well until HITCHBOT arrived in the City of Brotherly Love, where it was vandalized, decapitated, and left for dead.
