From the 9/18/21 radio show. Listen to “The Big Lie About USDA Beef”
NEWSFLASH: That package of beef you put in your grocery cart that is stamped with the USDA label may NOT be from the US at all!
Shockingly, government documents reveal that 82% of the beef product in the US is packaged by only FOUR companies. That is a lot of power in the hands of only four companies. As a result, they easily control both the wholesale and retail prices of beef.
But there’s a BIG secret you should know. When you purchase beef products in the store, that beef, may not be American beef. Yet, it likely has a USDA label on it.
Turns out, those four powerful companies used their lobbying power ($$$$) to exempt themselves from “Country of Origin” (COOL) labeling requirements.
For the record, poultry producers DO conform with COOL regulations, beef and pork companies are EXEMPT.
American ranchers are being forced out of business while these four companies are purchasing meat from overseas. Surprisingly, it gets USDA stamps on the package, and you, as the consumer have no idea when those animals lived, what they ate, and what medications they were given.
Nor, do consumers know the standards used to process the meat.
Is this okay with you?
