No Bake Four Ingredient Protein Bars

When you have a house filled with hungry, bored people, make something healthy before they head towards the potato chips or the ice cream. People have no idea how much food is consumed in front of the tv and computer. Here’s a quick and tasty fix, No Bake Four Ingredient Protein Bars (five if you count the optional chocolate chips). Protein powder is such an easy way to get a quick burst of energy.

INGREDIENTS – No Bake Four Ingredient Protein Bars

Line 8 x 8 baking dish with parchment

1/2 cup favorite flavor protein powder ( I used vanilla)

2 TB coconut sugar

1 cup almond butter

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

In a bowl, mix almond butter and maple syrup

If almond butter is cold, warm it  until it mixes freely

In another bowl, whisk  protein powder and coconut sugar

Add wet bowl to dry bowl, combine with spatula

Put batter in pan, it will be stiff

Use a cup or flat tenderizer to tamp it down into the square pan

Add chips, if you like and gently tamp those down as well

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Makes 8-10 bars. If you like that, try these no bake chocolate almond truffles.
