A couple of weeks ago, Elizabeth shared the story of how video food bloggers were being targeted by the Fair Trade Commission for touting the virtues of Aspartame. Foodies say they received letters from the FTC advising them that receiving checks from the industry without proper disclosing that fact to the public is a BIG no-no!
Now we’re learning that for the FTC to do this, the government in cooperation between multiple agencies, must have some type of surveillance system in place to monitor foodie podcasts.
Is that what we’ve come to?
A branch of the federal government appears to be monitoring the podcasts of foodies looking for violations of the law.
