Taste Test Fast Food Chicken Sandwiches

Taste Test Fast Food Chicken Sandwiches

At Food Travel USA, we  decided to put six of them to the taste test. Fast food chicken sandwiches sounded yummy.

By the way, if you want to make your own organic chicken sandwich and your own organic buns at home, people like our recipe HERE .

It started when Popeye’s introduced a new chicken sandwich last year.  The goal was simple: to challenge the chicken sandwich supremacy of Chick-Fil-A.

The supplies were limited (part of the marketing scheme) so the lines were long.

Watching in amazement, KFC, McDonalds, Wendy’s and even Arby’s all decided to upgrade their own chicken sandwiches to go after the bazillion dollars a year that Chick-Fil-A earns.

At Food Travel USA, we  decided to put ALL six of them to the test.

Because the overall appearance, texture and taste of the sandwich can be changed dramatically by the addition of veggies and condiments, we asked for each one to be served plain.  (So we could actually judge the taste of the chicken!)

The results are very good for one restaurant in particular, pretty good for a couple of others, but in our opinion, sorry to say, there are a few you might want to avoid.
