Hot Fluffy Parker House Rolls

There are a few priceless smells in life. Walking down the street on a Saturday morning smelling fresh coffee and bacon frying. Well, another one is fresh, hot bread from the oven, made with love and organic ingredients. When you put that cold pat of butter on a hot roll, the butter slowly melts and so does your heart. INGREDIENTS Hot Fluffy Parker House Rolls

1 packet organic yeast

2 cups plus 2 TB organic warm milk

1/2 cup warm water

1 TB organic cane sugar

1/4 cup ghee plus 2 TB

5-6 cups King Arthur All Purpose Flour

1 tsp Himalayan pink salt

1 egg

METHOD

Put packet of yeast in mixing bowl

Add 2 cups milk, water, 1 TB cane sugar, 1/4 cup ghee

Mix with dough hook attachment for 10 seconds

In another bowl, add 5 cups of flour and salt, whisk

With mixer on low, add half flour mix to liquid

Cover and let rise one hour.

Add rest of flour mixture and up to 1 cup more to form smooth and elastic but wet dough

Brush a bowl with a little ghee, put in dough, flip over to coat dough, cover, chill overnight

Put 2 TB ghee in a 9×14 baking dish

Preheat oven to 375F

Roll 12 balls of dough and put in dish, using all dough

Flip balls to coat with butter, cover and let rise to double in size

Bake 20-25 minutes until light golden.
