LIFESTYLE DIET RESET # 9

Isn’t life crazy? Rhetorically, YES!

Yesterday was one of the oddest days.

#synchronicity

People may or may not understand the difference between spoken-word and writing. They are very different genres.

One example might be, when you think of something in your head that’s really good! You think it’s something worth sharing. Something momentous, or monumental or one of those M words. And then, you say it. Not so great, eh? It happens. Don’t make it life-ending or anything. Begin again, learn, listen to everything. Never make the mistake that because it sounds good in your head, people will somehow understand your amazing message! Yeah, okay. Cut to the “time-out”.

When did I stop writing and start doing a show?  It’s a long story that involves a really outstanding (now deceased) lawyer, talk host and kind man named Joe Pippen. I called into his show about the amount of inches in a Subway sub roll. Subway, in my opinion, was CHEATING its customers out of 1/8″-1/4″ inch on EVERY sub. We even tried to do a video about it, but at that time, we were even worse at video than we are now! I try. What can I say?

Word to the wise, do not wear anything artsy to a religious radio station. The Chihuly shoes my son and I painted were not the best choice due to the funding of the NEA.

Right now, I want breakfast. Then, I have a few tips to ease into the weekend.

###

Breakfast

Lifeboost Coffee

Lavash Crisp bread

spinach artichoke dip

Snack

Core and slice an apple into spears

1 TB iHeartBees Honey

1 TB raw cocoa

(slowly!) whisk the cocoa and honey together to make a dipping sauce)

Lunch

pastina ead

PASTINA or other small pasta

pinch of sea salt

lightly whip an egg and swirl it in right before removing from the stove

add some grated cheese

Dinner – Simple Red Clam Chowder

This is a quick soup straight from the pantry.

28 oz can organic crushed tomatoes

4-6 oz of razor clams, sliced

1/2 tsp garlic

1 tsp garden fresh or freeze-dried parsley

generous splash of really exceptional olive oil…unless you are freaky about fat

Real olive oil never hurt my family! (although we mostly used butter…regional)

Now that I think about it, I will try this with organic ghee next time. It was tasty as is, though.

Add the olive oil at the end…or melted ghee

Relaxation tips for this weekend:

      1. Take an epsom salt bath (very detoxing). Make sure the epsom salts are from a known source.
      2. Do one physical TLC thing for yourself this week. Get a facial, message, take a sauna or a jacuzzi.
      3. Take a walk, go for a bike ride or visit a park… better yet, the beach or the mountains!
      4. Take a couple of hours and work on your favorite hobby such as art, etc. It relaxes your mind.
      5. Make a comfy meal for someone, like THIS.
